so what kind of deliciousness do you all have planned for the Easter/Passover/weekend?

We are doing our family dinner a day early tomorrow. I’m going to smoke a pork shoulder and either some baby backs or St. Louis ribs. Whatever looks better tonight for the ribs. My wife is making her renowned baked beans and crock pot mac n cheese. Plus we are doing some corn bread this year. Should be really good. I’m really looking forward to it. Of course I plan on taking some pictures.

Ribs and pulled pork sound great!

I've been mulling all day over what I'm going to smoke. Been thinking all week about a double smoked ham but then I got to thinking today about maybe some turkey breasts. Then I saw this and thought about just tossing in a couple boston butt's tomorrow night and letting them smoke overnight. Do some slaw, beans, mac and cheese, and maybe banana pudding for desert.

Too many choices!

I was actually going to add some ribs to the usual rotisserie leg of lamb but as it would be my first smoking of the ribs I tried my hand at it today please see my thread and tell me what you think

This year the kids are eating at the inlaws and such. So the lady and I are being lazy. Just simple steaks and oven fried taters along with veggies.

Some BBQ chicken legs, Marinaded pork steaks, and a tomahawk rib eye all on the Weber kettle!
mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and cornbread stuffing on the side!

Happy Smoking,

Hopefully the weather cooperates the way they say. I picked up a butt and a couple of half ribs. Time will tell.

Weekend? We are supposed to go to the Son and DIL's for brunch Easter, and an egg hunt.
But otherwise, I try my very best to stay home while the gerbils are out of their cubicles.
They drive me nuts. Let them out of their walled confines and they can't move.

I’m at my parents with all the kids so we are doing country style pork ribs, leg quarters, chicken breasts and sausage tonight.
For tomorrow lunch but cooking tonight I’m doing a pork butt.
Then overnight on Saturday I’ll be doing a brisket for Easter lunch!

A big halibut steak on the ‘cue tonight. Sunday is grilled rack ‘o lamb for me and a filet for the wife. Haven’t got tomorrow figured out yet.

Haven't decided yet!
I guess I better make up my mind pretty soon!
We'll have to see how the weather for tomorrow looks.
Right now it's pretty ugly outside!

Going to spin a turkey on the Weber gasser. This will be our first try at a rotisserie turkey. Going to be cold though, predicted high is 38F.

Well, we've been having Ham for Easter for many years, but I can do with less Sodium.

So since I am due, a "Choice" Prime Rib was elected & Thawed out over the last few days, And I'll be prepping it for tomorrow in a few minutes.

Thats funny , I read through all your step by steps on prim rib and that's whats on the menu for Monday .Im going to try it on a new web kettle that just followed me home

Well the cook has begun here. What a beautiful morning it is. There is a slight breeze. It’s in the mid 60s right now. It’s supposed to be about 78 for the high. I have injected the pork shoulder and rubbed it down with my old stand by basic rub from my companion barbecue bible book. It smelt so good even before I set it on the smoker. I’m doing a combo of pecan and cherry for my smoke today. I’ll be prepping the baby backs in a little while. It’s good to be smoking in Riverside. Have a beautiful day everyone. I’ll have a few pics later in the day.
