I went to the Lodge outlet in Commerce, GA, and saved too much money. My intentions were to get a camp oven and a biscuit pan and maybe a lid lifter and a lid stand. I ended up with a 10" camp oven, an 8" camp oven that was on sale as a daily special, a biscuit pan, a lid lifter, a lid stand and a five piece set. The five piece set contained a 5qt regular dutch oven, 10.25" skillet, an 8" skillet, and 10.5" griddle. They had a seconded lid that will fit a 12" skillet that we received as a wedding present; so, I got it too.

After leaving the Lodge outlet, I made the mistake of going into the Coleman outlet and "saved" even more money on a two burner propane camps stove:

I got it for almost half of the price listed on the web page. I have a Weber Q 120 grill that will work off of the same fuel bottles as will the stove. I plan to get hose adapaters for my 20 pound tanks, but I also plan to order a coupler so that I can refill the small bottles from my 20 pound tanks.

Well congrats Smokey I love to see someone get a deal!

I like that store. It is only about 10 miles from my mom's house so I always stop in there when I go to visit.

I always "save a lot of money" also. LOL

The woman at the store made a big deal about the 10" camp oven that I bought and said that it was a special edition only sold in their stores. It's not even on their web page. Well, I was in Academy Sports today and saw a Lodge 10" camp oven for a good bit less than I paid for mine. When I got home and checked my box, it turned out that the oven I bought was one quart larger than the one in Academy and on Lodge's web page.

I had my first go at cooking with the camp oven tonight. I used the bottom half of my Weber Smokey Joe Platinum as a base for the oven. I put an old cooking sheet on the grill grate and put the coals for under the stove on the cookie sheet. I enjoyed cooking with the camp oven, although my concoction wasn't exactly what I set out to make. My little girl loved it though.

I also used the biscuit pan. That thing is nothing short of amazing.
