Ok back story. Was making dinner the other night and might have had an adult beverage or two... or three or... you get the idea. I ordered a vertical spit cuz it seemed like a good idea. Never used one before seen plenty at Greek and middle eastern eateries. Any advice folks? Got a Pit Boss or Weber 22.5 to try it on.

This sounds fun but I still have no idea what you ordered. Maybe include some pics?

I have a propane for heat with plug in spinning device that rocks for that kind of thing.

It was not that expensive but works great for this kind of cook.It has been used many times for different things.

Love the one that Chris @Chris_in_SoCal has and the one jeff @jcam222 .

When i was cooking all of ours were in the beginning self turning .

I was thinking I could configure a BBQ roto motor at the top of a vertical spit for the same idea.

But for a little over $100. I can just buy something like this, or even something a little bigger and stronger.

Usually I am not too bad. I had been looking at these before and thinking what I could do with them. Then I see one pretty cheap and figured, eh give it a shot.
