It's Raining in Texas!

Last year my neighbor two houses down, who'd bought a boat (19', center console, great for lake fishing, 125 hp Evinrude outboard) could hardly take it out to fish for crappies and bass; the lakes were so dried up you had to drive over a mile to get to water and then launching was sometimes impossible because of all the structure exposed.  Well..... opposite problem, all the boat launches are under water, lakes are all closed, they are all at or above flood stage, the Corp. of Engineers is playing hopscotch letting out water to keep the entire area from overflowing their banks and flooding more than what it has - tonight's rain is just adding to the problem!

A few years ago my mom's house on Lake Striker had so little water that you had to watch out for stumps out in the Lake. Now the highways are flooding there is so much water. It is funny how fast things change. There was also a tornado that went through the neighborhood she lived in a few years ago in Marshall. And now the local liquor store has flooded twice in two weeks.

The weather out there is crazy. Hope everyone stays safe.

Sounds like there is only one thing left to do! Drink up!

I seen some news clippings this morning, I hope it stops and no more lives or property are lost.
