I guess we threw out our Humming Bird feeders after last season.

Well, this little guy was coming to the patio door everyday looking for food I guess. I could have ignored him but I was affraid he would get in the house, that happened one year and I had to use a fish net to catch him. We have 20' ceilings and luckily I caught him in the loft where the ceilings are 8'.

Anyway, between the white sugar that we don't use anymore, I tried brown and it didn't work, and the feeder it was over $13.50.

Oh well, enjoy the pic on me.

Funny! I had to use the fish net a couple years ago to get a "house finch".

They are like little reddish sparrows, with a GREAT song and she was sittin on our wreath on the front door by the red ribbon! Opened the door and all h ell broke loose.

Kids were screaming, wife was freaking. :) Stuff happens.

I use a salmon net on my mother-in-law when she tries to get in the house...

That's how I felt. You don't want to hurt the poor things.

Now that's funny Rich, I wish I knew that trick years ago with my ex mother in law.

Hhmmm..... when I read the title of the thread it got me thinking about my upcoming pheasant season with the price of fuel, gun powder and shot !!!

ok Rich, I am writing this one down, cuz one day I am gonna met her and I am telling on you! huge chismosa here my friend!! lol!!damn that was funny!

Ron, thanks for replacing the feeder, they get used to eating in one spot then if the feeder is gone, can starve...good on you mate!!

I didn't know that Kelly, thanks for letting me know. He was here all night feeding. Glad to know I didn't let him die.

Heh...you got that right. I recall my Uncle dropping off a few birds for smoking last fall...he figgered about $40 each...ouch!
