That is a nice truck. If I ever were to get into a pick up this or a Tacoma would be on top of my list.

Thank you sir! It's nothing fancy, but it's been a good, solid truck. I looked at those Tacomas too, and liked them very much. If I had decided against the Chevy, I probably would have ended up buying one of those Tacomas.

Nice looking truck Jeff is that the RST model with the Z71 package?
Not sure, sticker just shows it as Z71. It has multiple convenience packages added, trailering package with built in electronic trailer brake. All leather interior, 20" wheels etc. There is literally no option that was offered that it doesn't have. Even has a dealer programmed high output engine reprogram. Took me a few days to figure out all the controls. Adaptive cruise control blows my mind lol. The cockpit is like they took a luxury car and crammed it inside a truck. Nice smooth ride too. Here's the sticker

That's a pretty truck Jeff! Yours has more bells n whistles than mine. Mine is a 2019 LT trim level. Just enough creature comforts for me without all the tech.

I added the running boards and a spray-in bedliner...and it's everything I need. I've pulled a boat, utility trailers, and even a smaller travel trailer with it, and it pulls like a champ!

I've resolved to drive it until it dies, or I die...whichever comes first!

Nice! I had a 2020 2WD WT model that I drove the last two years. It had 0 creature comforts but it was a great truck too.

The price of new vehicles with new tech but the downsizing of engines is crazy to me.

I am a Toyota guy in the last decade and have a 2015 Toyota 4Runner. It has a 4 liter 270 HP engine. The gas mileage sucks because I added 1000+ Lbs of extras for off-roading but that was my choice. It is lifted and has rock sliders, skid plates, and a winch.

The new 4Runners have a 4 cylinder turbo engine that I can guarantee will not live up to the one I have and is now three times the price I paid for mine.

I have 41K miles on mine so it will last me as long as I can drive.
4 cylinder turbo hybrid is 326 HP and gets low 20s gas mileage. No issue with the power especially since I don't tow anything. I have taken it off road once and found it comparable with my FJ in that regard. I really like the safety features and cameras.

Surprised you went 2WD on the last one in OH?
Yep that and no full back seat. I was getting ready to retire and knew I wanted a truck. Rushed into it. Learned my lesson and carefully researched trucks and prices for over a month this time. That said I probably won't use the 4WD often since being retired I just hibernate on those days. There have been times I was caught out in weather though. It's nice to have in case.

My Z71 comes with their 4 cylinder turbo Plus engine with high output tune. With the tune it is the same as the ZR2 in performance. I'm not much for understanding mechanical aspects of an engine but my neighbor thought it approached the horsepower of his older Silverado. Mines 310 HP and 430 torque.

4WD will help for resale, no one in the north wants a 2WD truck.

You just need to stay on top of oil changes and use synthetic oil, those 4 bangers rev higher than a six cylinder. I do 5000 mile intervals on all my cars regardless of the factory spec is, it easy for me though as I have a 4 post lift in the garage.

The way they are all putting in full engine plastic skid plates makes doing an oil change on your back almost impossible.

Sorry I'm a true Blue Ford fan. Did not buy new but paid dearly for our 2015 F250 Shortbed 4x4. Have been slowing going over it investing $$ in tires running gear. It's almost perfect. Spent mucho$ on truck bed and rocker panel repair 2 years ago. We tow our 5th wheel camper. Put air bags and 60 gallon fuel tank. DEF delete done by prior owner. Has a nice tune does not smoke much when I stomp on it. Only 125k miles. Just had ceramic coat done. Only thing left is cow (deer) catcher. Maybe wheels, it's not flashy but one solid truck.

I tried to stay in GM and my experience with them.
There is smaller options than a Tahoe if you either want third row seating or the cargo capacity and a compatible vehicle for your wife. Not clue on the Infinity or Cadillac models you mentioned.

I drove Fords from my first vehicle until 2019 when we bought a GMC Yukon XL with SLT trim package we looked at Expeditions but they were higher priced and didn't have the features the Yukon had. We still have my 04 F350 Lariat crew cab dually 4x4. When we bought the Yukon we also had a 2015 F150 Lariat. We traded in the F150 last year and got a 2022 Chevy Silverado High Country 1500 crew cab diesel 4x4 with 10,000 miles the wife has laid claim to it she loves that truck lol. Ford is catching up with GM products in features but still lag behind.

I wish you good luck with that turbo but the long term failure rate is pretty high. Let us compare again in 10 years.
