Thin blue rolling

    Easing back in.  It's been busy winter and crazy windy.  Smoking a few boneless ribs tonight.  Maple smoke w/ Hughs dry rub.  24 hour marinade. Side up W/ bakers and corn on the cob since they are 4 for a buck.  Wife has a killer butter sauce for the corn.  Going to have to save the recipe till August when NWDave gets here. (Bet my wife gives the recipe to NWDavebefore then.) Couple of pics.

    Left in the rub for 24.  Not so much a marinade. BTW anyone ever smoke a Tater?

    did you smoke the tater? seems to me like it might get hard?

    Ha, I know how to smoke taters but I'm not going to tell you until August. 

    A sidebar note:  Dnvrdv is my SIL.  We started a family tradition  couple of years ago of an annual trip to the Denver area for a "family" smoke off.  He's starting it early, I see.

    Smoked the taters till the rib meat got to 160 (just started to soften) then put them in the oven for 45 minutes at 375. They actually turned out awesome did have a bit of a smoke flavor to them

    Uh, Bear, you got the wrong equipment.  It'll be something more like [​IMG]  and unless he's been watching Guy on Food Network, he ain't got a clue[​IMG]  on the spuds.
