For the first time in 3 years, we had both boys home for Christmas at the same time! My bride was so happy when I got them home from the airport that she started crying.

Lots of visiting and family time was had over the last several days, so the boys and I got busy on the grinder and stuffer last night! Kabanosy and Sriracha sticks were on the list!

8 pounds of kabanosy sticks ground and stuffed

Then it was on to the Sriracha sticks! 7.4 pounds of those hot critters!

Went to the farm today to visit my ailing father, so we smoke tomorrow!

Sorry for the teaser....

CB That is nice seeing all the family at home, this year I will see 4 of my 5 by next Tues I will have driven close to 3000 miles

The sausages look great Points  I hope to be back on to see the finish

Richie

We had a ball making all of these! We stayed up late last night talking and both of them indicated that they want to try and come to town for Sausage Fest 2017! That would be a lot of fun for sure.

Since we were up late, I was chosen to get up and get the sticks on this morning so they are done before #1 son has to be at the airport at 3:00 this afternoon.

Richie, that's a lot of driving! Stay safe and enjoy the visits!

Family time is great and we miss them a lot! The bride just informed me that we'll be having the boy's favorite breakfast for lunch since they are still in bed!

CB.... looks like a blast was had by all.. Thumbs Up

Sticks look good... I see you hang them on the cabinet door as your stuffing... here's something to think about... my dowel rod's are 36" long ... If I open both cabinet doors I can set dowels across the tops of them and then hang sausages on the dowels... you can get 4-6 dowels across there...

Nothing like paying it forward!!!!  Of course the only problem is they will now want to claim those sticks as theirs, so you will need to make another batch, right?

Nothing better than family time.

Can't wait to see the finish.

I showed my wife a pic of your sausage hanging on the cupboard door.....all she said was, "NO"....,lol. Glad to see you and your sons enjoyed some father/son time.....doesn't matter what you do, sausage making, play cards, work on cars, or just shoot the breeze, those times are precious.

Thanks all! Sorry I'm hit and miss, but lots going on.

We had a really good time! Lots of laughs and reminiscing of days gone.

With both boys here it was like the days when we all 3 did this in a regular basis. The boys jumped right in and the old man got to mostly watch and drink beer!

Sounds like you got the better end of the deal. Haha. Sounds like a great time with family.

House sure is quiet now with them gone again...  Encore performance in March I'm being told
