Steak and Eggs anyone?

    Morn'en!
    Ran outta daylight yesterday, so this is what we had for breakfast - T-Bones, hash browns, cackle berrys and some french bread toast.

    Did a light marinade on the T-Bones yesterday - brushed with soy sauce and sprinkled with a little Tones Candian Steak seasoning (love this stuff). That sat in the fridge overnight, then I hit them with a garlic salt this morning.

    Hash browns on the Wok - very simple out of fresh potatoes sliced with a mandalin(?) (gadget with Mrs's has that you can slice things up with!) with a little EVOO, S&P, and of course garlic.

    Here's the hashbrowns right after I put them on.


    Ready to cut the fire and put on the steak - took about 20 minutes


    Steak on with a small handful of hickory chips.


    The Mrs's and my youngest like their's on the well done side, so the rest of the batch is patiently waiting to the right! And my poor o'l smoker with a sad face in the back ground.


    And Wa-La! My breakfast

    I thought it may have been eggs from what he said he made and what I saw on the plate.

    I like that whole set up Now I have the grills and then I have the smokers and then I have the turkey/fish pot set ups but I don't have the wok thinky. I want the wok thingy thing. Then I want some of them shrimp and steak an eggs.

    Toxie - I built this one from scratch. Had a post yesterday with the same quesiton - if a guys doesn't have the inclination or tools to build one, I would look for one at a sporting good store (the wok cooking part), and sit on a turkey burner.

    damn it thats it im getting me a wok ahhhhh 2 days in a row now with the wok on my way to craigslist to see what i can find

    Looks like a growing list of us who want to get a wok like that. Where are they available?

  19. Looks good. The wok comes in handy for making Paella too.
     
  20. I was at a cookout once and they used a wok that was a Disc from a old farming Disc that farmers used to Disc there fields with.It worked amazingly well,I have been on the look out for one ever since but haven't found one yet.
