That does look good, but I have never seen Lizano salsa sauce. There is a Hispanic grocery store not far away so I'll check there. I can see adding some kind of sausage and making a 1 pot meal

It’s worth finding Lizano, even if you have to order off Amazon. The Gallo Pinto recipes I’ve seen out of Coasta Rica are all over the map ingredients wise, so there really is no ridged recipe. Only that rice, beans and Lizano are in the base, other wise it’s open season. It’s a big breakfast item down there too with eggs.
