Special Breakfast (AKA—Morning Bear Bait)

I needed something a little different than my usual Eggs & Sausages for Breakfast, for a change.
I had a couple more slices of Pork Roll left in the Fridge, so this sounded just like what I needed.

So I put 2 slices of Pork Roll in a pan first, while I buttered both halves of 2 Burger Buns.
This would be a good time to throw the Buns in a Pan to melt the butter & crisp up the Buns, if you have a mind too.
Then I put one slice of Pork Roll on each bottom half of a Bun, and topped them with a slice of Cheese. Nuke 30 seconds, just to melt the cheese.
Then I fried up 2 solo over-hard eggs, and put them on the upper half of each Bun. Add a bunch of CBP too.
Then Close ‘em up & chow down!!! Boy did these hit the spot !!!

Thanks for checking this one out,

Bear

Excellent way to start the day bear.

Point for sure

Now, that's my kind of breakfast!!!
That sounds a lot better than my thick cut fried bologna and egg sandwiches .:emoji_yum:

Care to write about the pork roll? It looks awesome!

Nice, I bet it hits the spot!

I sure could go for one of those on an everything bagel!

Interesting I've never heard of it before, it must be a local product. I'll google it when I'm more awake, it was a long smokey night last night.
Thanks.

It’s mostly a product of New Jersey although you could get it pretty easily in PA. I’m not sure about other neighboring states though.

Is it like Scrapple?
I spent a few weeks in Jersey and Phily when I was young and single. Boy, was that a fun month the food was incredible.

No not at all. I could eat scrapple every day!

Chop has described it pretty good. If I had anything to add, it almost resembles oval spice ham that you would get at the deli.

Again a great sammie by the Bear.
Toast the bun man remember when all the burger buns were toasted?

Warren

Thanks Warren!!
Boy do I ever remember that.
The first place I had that was at a place called "Merle's", right down from Quakertown High School.
It was a Hang-out after school or during halftime at a Football game (across the street).
It was a Candy Store, Soda Fountain, and Sandwich Joint, and they even toasted the Hot Dog Rolls. I've been doing that myself ever since back then.
