Yep, you got it. Smoked toothpicks, they are best after the meal. I got to thinking about this one smoke or two ago and did it. The outcome was the best tasting, smelling and with the marbled look, looking. Here is what I did:
The smoker is upright and the toothpicks were regular. The toothpicks were placed on a screen (the one I used was a grease screen from a fry daddy to keep the splattering down). Then with the smoker smoking at a good rolling smoke and the toothpicks placed on the top rack and lid on, stir about 25 minutes into. Smoke about 45 min. overall to give a burst of flavor and give a long lasting taste. Place in a holder and keep them handy for all to enjoy.
That's it, I hope there are folks that will do this and bring them to the table, even if you don't have teeth they're awesome.
