Hi, I am Dennis from So. Calif - a new member and this is my first post. I have a Smokin-it #1 model smoker for 3-4 years and am thinking about buying a new smoker but undecided which model. I like the electric smokers and have been looking at the MES models, but not sure which one to buy - the reviews are mixed. I learned a few months ago from a Masterbuilt customer service rep that they have a new GEN 2.5 smoker in development, but no info on it or the release date. Could be next year..

If any personal recommendations on which MES 30 smoker model I would be interested in your feedback.
Thanks.
Dennis

If you don't wait to see what the Gen 2.5 is like first, I would buy the MES Gen #1.

Do Not buy the MES Gen #2 !!!
