I think Grandma is going to get an upright freezer from Santa this year.
We got one from Sam's club, and it wouldn't reach freezing, and never shut off.
Needles to say, it went back.

Price Chopper here had whole birds on sale for .39/lb a day or so before TG. I bought one for our future use and one for the food shelter.

60* is that in Mass or Jersey? We've been running in single digits for the most part, only until this week have we seen 30*+ weather. Sunday is supposed to hit 40* but it's also supposed to rain. I still have 8" of snow.

I am undecided on the Drum Sticks, Thighs are high on my list going to make some of Pops Curing brine later so it is ice cold.My freezer isn't frost free I had to take this one it was the only one I could get the day my old one pooped out

My freezer isn't frost free I had to take this one it was the only one I could get the day my old one pooped out

Our chest freezer isn't frost free either. But it is full to the top.
My wife (5' 0") can't reach down in very far anyway. So she's been longing for an Upright Freezer. I decided I want to get her one, and make space for it in the garage.
I considered getting one and surprising her, but thought better of it, not knowing what she might like. But I'm set on getting her an upright freezer so she doesn't have to get suck like a toddler in a toilet.
Might be His, and Her's freezers soon. LOL!
Maybe I can make a curing tank out of the chest freezer?
