I just want to see who all likes and hates these.

I've done them before and they were a bit odd, so if you got a good recipe, feel free to share, but I also want to hear how many times the dreaded things never went away.

I remember at one time, a box was gifted, like each sealed on their own, in a box...and it persisted till next year. As far as I remember the darn things were still edible, but it always seems like they become table decoration more then some thing any one wants to eat.

Welp, lets begin discussing the horror of popcorn balls!

Can’t stand ‘em! Got them as gifts. As a kid, my brothers and I used them to play baseball with in the backyard. Then my mom found out.....whoops!

Can't remember the last time I made them, but I like them.
Survey sez: Do you LIKE popcorn balls.

You'll have to start a new survey to find out when. ;)
Looks like I've got you by the popcorn....:D

Hey I'll just cheat and buy some if I get a hankering! ;)

I just like collecting the old recipes I'll never otherwise see!

I'm waiting for some Hallmark level of comedy involving popcorn ball esque story from some one though!

I like the corn but not the ball shape. I think I lost a tooth on one. Kettle corn in whirly FTW.

I have never made any but I do like them as long as there is a nice layer of that caramel goodness with them lol.

I actually live near a popcorn distributor, I need to get over there soon to boot.

Maybe I should see if they got any sort of special tips on what type they use. <I almost always buy what is called baby rice popcorn and I doubt it's ideal for this>

I like them as long as they are relatively fresh. When I was a kid had a neighbor who made them. Not sure how she did it but it seemed like they stayed fresh tasting for quite a while.
I feel that alot of recipes calling for butter are the ones that going bad quickly. Butter going rancid when left at room temperatures etc etc.

I know some use Caro syrup..Karo? You know, sugar syrup!

Ya'all making me flip flop on Xmas ideas...

Right now I got homemade egg nog, a fatty, probably a rum cake. Possibly ABTs.. LOL
