Well you all gave me some great advice, and as promised, here's the final results! Half I did with my homemade BBQ sauce, the other half I kept plain with just the drippings. This came out so good!! This was my first ever attempt at smoking a pork butt. Took about 12 hours in the smoker. I spritz'd it 3 or 4 times total. I used apple and hickory chips. After 11 hours, I removed it, put it in the drip pan, and covered with foil. Took it out to rest when it was exactly 200 degrees. Gonna sit in the fridge until tomorrows BBQ.
