It's been hot but needed a quick dinner and didn't wanna heat up the house plus the Primo pre-heats as fast as our oven. Salt, pepper, and olive oil is all that this dish takes. Very tasty and good for you. No smoke, just clean lump at about 400°f for ~20 min. Pulled it when the tuna was 130°f internal. Not red bliss but juicy territory.

Oh Yeah!!! Looks delicious. I been doing seared tuna once a week. Think it was you that motivated me.
Thanks for the compliment.

Tuna steak makes a great switchup during the week, unfortunately we're just doing it about monthly and I think you have the better approach.

I can never bring myself to eat leftover tuna in steak form but it does make amazing tuna salad, I need to do it more often

Looks great, philpom.

Coincidentally, we served the same last night for dinner though I cooked the tuna steaks differently than you did. I seasoned the steaks then cooked them sous vide at 115F for 35 minutes, followed by a quick sear. As you did, I also served them with asparagus along with rice.

Nice job!
