Busy day yesterday. The plan was for steak tips. But decided to get something different.

Stopped by Wegmans. And they had loaves of rye bread that was smaller in diameter then usual. Whether it was another one of their tricks to gouge your wallet. Or it was just something new. I'm betting the former. Anyway. It screamed ruebens to me!!

Looks awesome. we are big fans of the Pepperidge farms Pumpernickel/ rye swirl. not always easy to find. being perpetually lazy, I look forward to pre-made corned beef sales to make my annual pastrami.

Thanks! I usually buy the fresh baked rye bread at Wegmans. But will use that if they are out. Speaking of pastrami.
