So the wife declared today that she was craving a cherry wood flamed ribeye for dinner and she backed up the craving with some 1.25 inch thick’s Double R!!!!
So I fired up the X-Fire with some coals and cherry wood for an over the flame the old school way!
A view of the prepared flames of cherry!
Lowered the grate to be right in the flames!
Now added them heavily seasoned with SPOG and a splash of lemon pepper & sugar.
Just a perspective view of from the flame side!
After turn number one! Man my mouth is watering!
The view after the final turn, as the flames reduced, I kept lowering the grate to keep them in the searing flames.
Bingo IT 130 and resting!
All plates up and joined by some salt crusted bacon Yukon’s, shrooms, and my wife homemade Cesar...
Just love the color and flavor that cherry flames imparts to the meat......just pure old school flaming money!
