I've had an MES 30 for a month now and am smoking everything in sight.  My wife was getting a little concerned....

Background.  She is a 30 year registered Nurse and oh by the way she smokes (cigarettes).....

And she says to me " Maybe we need to be careful about eating all this smoked meat"  Really????  She caught herself and just started howling!

LOL OMG that's good. Well I guess if she caught herself then she must be a good sport. If she gives any more guff about smoking meat, just tell her "Dear, when people tell me I smell like smoke, it's a compliment!" haha

Being a registered nurse for so long that is good.   best one I heard was an older gent "my doctor told me to cut back on red meat. So I am getting it well done from here on out"

I can relate having a smoking RN in the house ...

I ran into a guy with one of those foot long Sherlock Holmes type of pipes. I asked him why so long?  His response "My doctor recommended that I stay away from tobacco, I figure this is about far enough."

Now Im told of the dangers as at this very moment I am in my hospital room on 2 liters of o2 for my COPD and reading the Smoking Meat forum! I still say though, "Smoke'em if ya got'em! Meats that is.

Back home again but 02 is permanent but still smoking after all these years. Meat that is. Used to 3 packs a day now its no less than 5lbs at a time.

Well, I gave up the terbacky 35 years ago. I can't afford to buy 'em at today's prices, but I grew up in NC when I could buy a carton for less than $2.00. Gave 'em up cold turkey when I was 35 when I found myself opening the 4th pack in the same day. Got the COPD to prove it, too.

Just started smoking the meat last year. Don't plan to quit, tho.

Long life?

Good life?

Number of years in the nursing home diapers from being a vegetarian?

You get to make the decision.

Good luck and good smoking.
