Arrived too late for T’Day but just in time for NYE. Installation was easy, drilled hole with supplied step bit

Decided to do a ‘test’ run with chicken. First, a simple brine

Seasoned up with Yardbird and Lemon Pepper and ran it through

Placed a couple RFX probes. When temps got close, moved the bird over firebox to crisp up the skin a bit

Served with mixed veggies over wild rice.

Delicious! Very happy with Yoder’s rotisserie, it’ll get plenty of use!

Thanks for looking!

Ok that is very cool! Rec Teq needs to step up their game and make one for their units.

Chicken looks delish! Enjoy the rotisserie.

EDIT: Rec teq makes on but it only fits their XFire Pro😡

I love my rotisserie set up for my YS640! There are several ways you can set up and roll with the set up. The bird looks perfect! Enjoy the great food.

I didnt know they made one. Did you move the bird or just remove the deflector plate? How long did it take to Cook?
I just moved the bird. It was very easy to open the deflector firebox door, loosen the tine nuts and slide the bird over the firebox.
I’m rarely an ‘early adopter’ but ordered the kit when first announced back in October, the idea was to spin T’Day turkey. Alas, delivery was delayed (my understanding is they had an issue with the motor). Resolved, so orders should be timely fulfilled.
I pre-heated the smoker to 225F, then put the bird on for some smoke. After an hour I basted (1/4C reserved marinade) kicked the temp to 325F. It took 45 minutes to hit 150F where I moved the bird over firebox to crisp the skin. When it hit my pull temp of 157F, I turned the smoker off, opened the lid and let spin another 10 minutes to rest, brought it in to carve.
My wife loves chicken pot pies (as do I), so it’ll get plenty of use.

I am shocked Dave that RT does not make one. I wonder if a generic Onlyfire one could be fitted? I love rotating a bird (chix, turkey, duck) on the weber kettle. The masterbuilt one below comes with 2 sized rods as it is made for the 560 through 1050 models, could probably cit it down if needed.
