New smoker sayin hi!

We are a family of six. Love to bbq. We live in So Cal. We arw using our Brinkmann upright smoker for the 1st time today. We have had it for 3 yrs now. Stumbled upon this forum while trying to figure out why the smoker wouldnt get hot...the brikets were being smothered in the bowl. We took the advice from a fellow smoker on here and yeehaa we have heat! Cant wait to read new threads for tricks, recipes and success stories. I will post a pic or so when all done with todays ribs.
