I am Steve and live in Nashville, TN. I work in technology to pay the bills and support my flyfishing, tying and cigar hobbies.

I have been smoking meat (mainly shoulder) for two years. I create my own rubs based off flavors my wife and friends like. For smokers, I have a Charbroil Charcoal Grill with an adjustable grate that I configure for smoking and recently, i purchased a MES 40 and seasoned her last weekend and will be smoking some wings and thighs this coming weekend.

I have been lurking for a couple of weeks and there is so much valuable informationon the sight I really enjoy reading all the posts and continuing to glean.

I will be sure to take pictures and share my first smoke in the MES via QView this weekend.

Steve, Welcome to SMF!

Let's see ,Smokin , cigars and fly fishing?

You would fit in well down here on da bayou.

If you have never been down to south louisiana and caught redfish on the Fly Rod,It should be in the top 3 on your Bucket list.

I haven't fished for redfish in SEL but I have friends who have and loved it. So I need to make a trip that way and enjoy the best of Southern Louisiana.

And thank you for the welcome. This place is a wealth of knowledge.

Thanks!! That was my biggest brown ever. Caught it below Wolf Creek dam (Cumberland River). It tipped the scales at 8lbs.
