I'll add my congratulations to civilsmoker civilsmoker , for submitting perhaps the most mouth-watering entry in any Throwdown I've seen in my time on this board.

I was also very impressed with the Skewered Picanha, veggies, farofa (I've never seen farofa outside of a Brazilian steakhouse, and I've rarely seen it outside of Brazil) plus what I'd imagine was an amazing pie.

Props also to the porterhouse entry, with the 'Madness' tag in flames! Clever pic.

Thanks to bmudd14474 bmudd14474 for coordinating, to the judges for judging, to the SmokingMeatForums board for hosting, and to ThermoWorks ThermoWorks for the great prizes offered!

Finally, I'll note that squeezing a mashed potato concoction through a pastry bag to make decorative Duchess Potato swirls is an enormous pain in the butt. We wouldn't try it again without using a hydraulic press, or at least a caulking gun...

At one point I'd thought about doing the same type of potato...I'm sure glad I didn't now! Congrats on the win!
