My family and I have a love affair with grilled yardbirds.

This is the critter most often seen seen adorning my grill and I've it pretty well mastered.

Brined or unbrined, seasoned in a dozen ways but always spatchcocked.

Let the meat meet the heat!

Yard birds are my favorite. Those look great. I season and smoke split birds or even decent sized breasts (bone in and skin on, of course) a couple times a week.

I agree! Bird is totally underrated!

My favorite is boneless thighs (with skin) seasoned heavily with SPOG- heavy on the onion, then glazed right at the end with a psudo-teriyaki sauce that I make. Its more of a sesame ginger bbq sauce. Slice and serve over fried cabbage and rice with additional sauce.

Nice p-shooter!
