Nanna, our 11 year old grandson(boy I never had) had a wonderful day. Homemade Cat head biscuits from the recipe my Mamaw taught me 30 years ago, deer sausage and gravy for breakfast. Nothing for lunch as we were so full from breakfast. Watched NASCAR Talladega 500! Heated up the baby backs and cooked us some sweet taters. Nanna made her classic sweet slaw. What a great meal and a fun day doing just what we wanted to do. Take care fellow smokers.

Tasty stuff and a great day by the sounds. Whats your trick with those potatoes? the skin looks amazing.

Sounds like you had the perfect day!! Good food, family, and your grandson. A day like that sure makes up for the odd bad one.
However.....what are cat head biscuits? Haven't heard or them before.
Gary
Thanks. Just a southern term for biscuits made from scratch
