^ I saw the above links on a friend's website and I was thinking this would make yet another good gift for my niece. But I was unsure which one to get her.
I've lived in Tokyo for a few months and I really enjoyed their style of barbeque. After buying my niece the Smithey cast iron skillet and seeing her use it, I was thinking the Lodge Sportsman would be a good purchase.
Cast iron is beautiful and heats very well. The only issue with this is that I have read everywhere online that almost no-one can keep this from rusting. Also, this would be a bit difficult to use here in Hawaii where it rains quite often and the cast iron can not get wet.
For the Kotai, I would think it would be more suitable for someone who would use the grill more than three times a week. So, I don't think she would need that grill. However, this could perhaps solve the rust issue that the Sportsman has but I don't think it would heat as evenly.
For the Konro, I think the Lodge would be better suited since it's cast iron.
These are just some thoughts about these three. What do you think/recommend? Thank you.
