I have already bought 2 wireless therms and haven't been satisfied yet. money isn't an issue but I would like to stop wasting it on a thermometer that doesn't work. looking for sugestions
Depends on what you are looking for. One with two probes. Or just one? I have had my Maverick HD32 for a few years now. And it works flawlessly. It only has one probe though. I recently found a fantastic price on a ThermoPro TP20. And have two coming. I choose this one because of the great reviews it has received both here. And on Amazon.
I have a cheapo Maverick wired single probe from HD it's not totally accurate but it gets me in the ballpark. I use an oven therm bought from a grocery store for grate temps. I also use a weber insta read for quick checks. None are 100% accurate but since I cook mostly by tenderness instead of temp they're good enough for me.
Uncle Honey,
What brand / model thermometers are you currently using? I have 2 Maverick ET-732 which I thought were pretty accurate, then I got the Smoke from Thermoworks. OMG! It's update/response time to the receiver is way awesome.
