Still sore but doc yesterday said get moving and do your thing but still no heavy lifting.

Mixed up these 2 lite rye sourdough on Wed and did a long cold ferment. Both sourdough.

The small is a rustic shape with caraway seeds.

Large is no seed.

Don't know your situation but I can relate to the get moving and dont lift anything heavy. Recovering from hernia surgery Thursday myself, so I'm about 56 hours in to recovery and just took myself off the narcs. Whatever yours is, I hope you heal quickly.

The sourdough looks fantastic...wish I was your neighbor! We have a sourdough baking neighbor but in the summer my parents are back living in the cabin next door to us and they have made better friends in a few years with the neighbors than we have over 20 years...and that means they get first shares on everything! In winter when they are snow-birding in Florida, we get a couple sourdough loaves if we are lucky!

I should get a starter and start doing my own...

Best bread made hands down in my opinion.

Thanks y'all

This was my second surgery they used the DaVinci robot, I'm 3.5 weeks out from it. Was a simple outpatient gallbladder removal but the recovery pain sux.

Best wishes for recovery. Interestingly it was a gall bladder surgery gone difficult that delayed my hernia surgery for an hour. I'm lucky though, so far my recovery is faster than I ever imagined compared to the one I had 23 years ago.

Good to see you are getting back to the grates!

I was wondering where you were! Glad to hear that you're on the mend. The bread looks amazing. Perhaps I'll tackle sourdough one day.
