I'm about to start my turkey dry brine with dried herbs, but would fresh herbs be a better idea?

First let me say that for us, tomorrow is turkey day due to a delay in a family arriving at home base today.
The recipie I'm using calls for dried herbs but I have fresh thyme and rosemary on hand too.
Clearly just going to be an overnight dry brine but I want to use the herb version that will impart the most flavor.

If all the other ingredients are dry it will probably be easier to use dried herbs.I too always tend to have fresh herbs on hand and tend to use them.

Dried vs fresh.Though they may be the same plant each will have a little bit different flavor profile. It's a personal call but you can't go wrong either way.

I'm thinking dry rub over night and fresh added before cooking would be overpowering together?

Yes, rinse after dry brine then apply herbs minus salt, or with a small amount of salt.
