I received this complement today from the guys in the small shop I do work for when they need help. Sunday the owner and his 2 boys went to the Kc chiefs game. I was invited to join them but just couldn't swing the cash to go.

Any ways they went to a BBQ joint  in KC to eat. They told me today that my Q was far better then this joints Q. Man did that make me proud  of my Q, I was on cloud 9 grinning from ear to ear,

as I think its only average. I can not think of a higher complement a smoker can receive. Thought I would share this with you all.

Congrats on the compliments and it's nice to get from time to time. After all that another reason we all do this isn't it. To feed friends and family great food.

Thanks guys and your right It did make me feed real good. That's a GREAT idea to smoke some Q in exchange for tickets, but Packers won't be back this year, so I'll have to wait till next year.

Ever hear the term, "Red letter day" I never knew what it meant until a couple years ago and an older fella on a forum I frequent explained it. It seems that it is a compliment in the highest degree, You had a RED LETTER DAY my friend, good job!

Congrats Sprky! Gives ya the warm and fuzzys don't it? Just for grins and giggles....What joint did they go to here in KC?  You know your doing something right when you get compliments over  a "Pro" here in the capital of BBQ!

Definately a "Red Letter Day".  You should ply them with Q for a few weeks, and then they will be begging you to tailgate with them and get tickets.  Use the force. . . . . . . .

That my friend is what smoking (and cooking in general) is all about!!!

When you see their eyes light up and the smile from ear to ear and they don't care if get bbq sauce from head to toe.

You know that ya done something good.

Compliments to ya sprky............. it will grow with more people who try your BBQ...

Had a "Red Letter Day" myself awhile back.  I grew up in Massachusetts and have been living in North Carolina for only eleven years.  I still haven't shook the "Yankee" tag from my co-workers.  I smoked two butts, shredded them and brought them in to work along with a finishing sauce & Wicked's Baked Beans.  A lifetime local NC resident who knows his BBQ told me, "You know, even if you are a Yankee that's some damn good BBQ."  Was an awesome feeling.  I know where your coming from sprky.
