If there's one truth about me, it's that I can be a little slow to try something new. My two favorite ways to make coffee are pour-over (quick and satisfying) and the Italian Moka pot (rich, dark, but can be a mess to clean).

So, my kids bought me an AeroPress for my birthday recently. I'm hooked! I put the pour-over cone and moka pots away. Easy cleanup and total control over everything.

The AeroPress reminds me of a smooth moka pot cup. 98% of the flavor, but cleaner. Only took me five cups over two days to get my coffee bean amount and timings dialed in to exactly want I wanted. Enjoying a cup as I type.

Sous vide short ribs tonight, another bandwagon I delayed jumping on.

I add the Folgers to the maker, add water and turn it on. Then I leave for work and let mom's enjoy her coffee. If there isn't Irish or bourbon cream in it, I can't take it.

Roast my own beans in a cast iron pan, boil the grounds in a titanium cup.

Splash of cold water to settle the pot.

Pour and drink like you got somewhere to be.
Drink it down or throw it out!

Now that's the best part of waking up!

V60 is daily driver. However coffee is one of my addictions I like to dabble in. Definitely have just about every method. Also have the Fellow Aiden which is a phenomenal machine. Auto pourover. Can’t beat it. Sometimes it’s via coffee cocktails.
