Greetings,
I chanced upon this site while looking for information on smoking chicken and have decided to join in. "Hiram's Bones" is a cooking and competition BBQ team based out of Kansas City, Missouri. Its members are brethren from Fidelity Lodge#339 AF&AM, Farley, MO. The team has been around since 2005 but has concentrated on cooking for charitable events over the past several years. We have been honored to cook for deploying troops and their families, homeless veterans through the Heart of America Stand Down, organizations for at-risk youth, and community outreach events to name a few. The team decided to jump back into the competition circuit this year and quickly found whatever skills we once had at wowing judges has alluded us. Our plan is to seek advice through this forum on the latest trends and techniques in this ancient cooking medium.
