Hello, I am from a small town in north east Iowa 20 miles north east of Waterloo. I am 38 , and have been smoking meat since I was 17. My mom got an electric smoker at an auction for $5 , brought it home and said it was mine. My first thought was what in the hell am I going to do with this rusty thing? the next week I bought 2 turkeys put them in the freezer and forgot about them for a few months, A week before thanksgiving my mom reminded me that I had them in the freezer. it turned out fairly good for not knowing a thing about smoking. Been smoking meat bout every weekend since. Now I have owned a tavern in Fairbank and have 2 extra wide propane master built smokers out back of the bar that I play with a lot.
