Hello from Houston

Just wanted to say a big howdy from Houston. Just found this site and love it. Currently I'm in an apartment and they won't let me use a smoker, but come February when my lease is up I plan on changing all that and living in a place I can doing some smoking!

In the past I have used a Brinkman (if I remember correctly). It was about 30" tall, had 2 racks a pan for water and fire. I've only smoked briskets in the past but I plan to draw on all of your knowledge to try new meats. When I get my new smoker I'm thinking about getting the GOSM with propane. Again hello and thanks for such a great site!

Welcome to SMF !!!

There are a few members that have little indoor smokers styled like a crock pot that they seem to be impressed with. Might be worth checking out to tide you over till you move.

Hello there, and welcome to the SMF. There are a lot of friendly members here who can help you with most any problem. Be sure and try jeff's 5 day ecourse, good basics/review. Many a member has started out with a Brinkmann, and we have a lot of GOSM supporters as well. Let us know what smoker you decide on.
