I've been cooking for about 14 years on a regular basis. This past year I decided to become serious about what I'm doing and educate myself on techniques, recipies, etc. I use a Brinkman horizontal barrel with firebox. I've had some good cooks but it seems to me a lot of smoke is lost around the seams of the lid and the firebox as well. That being said, I'm probably going to be in the market for a new smoker soon. Looking forward to reading more of the forums and learning more from yall's posts.
