Hello again from the coastal plain of TX

Back again after registering in '09 and getting side tracked by life. Skill level is low, pretty good at BBQ, grilling and such, but need to make a Texas brisket like dad does, and he's not one to teach me in his old age. Got a barrel smoker project in the works, so I'm hoping to start smoking soon.

Living between Houston and Galveston, 3 kids, 20 years married, pastor, love life and looking to smoke some serious meat. Hope to get to know you all and contribute what little I can, hopefully contributing more as time goes on.

First off welcome To SMF there Scott. You'll like this place for there are alot of good folks here that would just love to help with just about anything to do with smoking meat. So you will find alot of good advice, techniques, and recipes here for some really great smoked goods. So if you are really new to smoking meat then I would recommend that you take the E-Course for free and it will give you the basics of smoking meat. So with all that said all you nee to do is go out and get something to smoke and SMOKE it.
