Not sure exactly what to say here but I'll give it a try. I'm originally from a small town in northern California tucked up in the redwood forest, but joined the Navy and have been stationed in San Diego for the past 8 years. Fairly new to smoking, but have been grilling my whole life. I have a master built cabinet smoker and a homemade barrel grill built from a 55 gallon drum. The drum I use mainly for hanging tri tip and the cabinet for longer cooks (like the brisket in it now). I have read quite a few of the forums on here and figured I might as well join in.
