Hi All,
I’m new to the smoking community and super excited to get started!! Just purchased a new Masterbuilt 30” electric smoker and looking forward to using it. I’ve only smoked some baby back ribs and skinless chicken thighs and I think they turned out pretty good. I’m looking forward to reading all the posts and learning from you all. Dave.

Welcome from East TN. A couple things to look into for future smokes. Make sure you get a good wireless probe thermometer(don't trust the one in the MES) and check out the AMNPS. Both are game changers IMO. Glad to have ya join up

Thanks everyone!! This is an awesome source of information, especially for a newbie like me. I’ve found that using a smoker is very addictive...lol. I go to the grocery store and my fiancé gets annoyed because all I do is look for different meats to smoke. She says I’m overdoing it, but man it’s so much fun.
