Good place to buy meat in STL

Hi all,

my son's 1st birthday party is in two weekends, planning to smoke a pork butt. Right now I got to either walmart or Sam's to cut my meat. Wondering if there's a good butcher in town or some place better. We are expecting over 20 people so I want to do this right. Any advice?

Not sure how long or how far are wanting to travel, but I deal with Leon Grus at Beaufort Custom Meats in Beaufort, MO.  He is great to deal with and have really good product.  I just bought a half a beef there, he processed a deer for me and I bought 2 really nice Boston butts from him.  Leon is a great guy.  Highway 50 through Union to Highway 185 in Beaufort, about 8 miles or so down Highway 185.  Here is the information:  5234 Missouri 185  Leslie, MO 63056 573-484-3312.  May want to call and make sure he has what you are looking for.

what's wrong with Sam's Club?  that is where I buy my butts.  vacuum sealed and ready to go....

nothing, just curious if theres something else. I'll probably end up getting them there, but if there is a local guy I generally like throwing my money in that direction.
