Going to order a new Lang Friday morning cant decide between 48 or 60 trailer model.Currently I have a 120gal reverse flow homemade on trailer has bottom grate 48inch long so Lang 48 has cooking grate of 42 inch long, would that make huge difference?Only a few times Ive had it totally full owned for 2 years.Normally just doing things at home for weekend dinner or meals for week and take it to family gatherings.Lang 48 has 18x18 fire box my 120gal has same size as 60 20x20 is that noticeable difference? As of now I don't load the smoker up and not sure if i would in the future, but you never know. would the extra grand for the 60 an extra 20 inches on bottom grate be worth it?

for me.. since you don't fill up the grate you have on your 120.. I can't see why I would go with the 60... not for that extra price.... that's just me... they say If you can afford to go bigger.. well then go bigger....

I just received my Lang 48 patio and I love it!

Plenty of room for meat and sides.  If you have rarely filled the larger smoker you may not need the 60.  But sometimes it's better to have it and not need it, than wish you had it.

either way it's a great smoker and you will turn out some great meals!
