Last weekend I touched up all of my knives. Today I was cutting some salmon to make Salmon Candy. I would cube and then scoop with the knife to toss into the bowl. Well as I pushed the salmon off of the knife I caught my thumb. Had to put a glove on to finish. Of course the kids were complaining about me finishing my task prior to getting a bandaid.

Be careful friends, it happens to the best of us.

A rice paddle does a great job at scooping... I too have been in your situation, but I have since changed my ways... knives are for cutting... spoons are for scooping... hopefully not too deep and a bandaid is all that is required.

Bench Scraper/Pastry Knife. Designed to move product around. Cheap and safe, even for kids to use...JJ

It’s definitely a lesson learned. The wife has a part time job at Bed Bath and Beyond and she’s always bringing stuff home. I guess that I’ll have to tell her to get me a scraper.
