So I’ve cooked many steaks on the Blackstone Griddle and love it more than any other way. Taste is subjective though, so I won’t tell you it’s the best. I’ll let the pics do the talking. I’ve done plenty of steak dinners with traditional sides but changed it up a little. Steak salad, and it’s really good. All good ingredients it what makes it.

PRIME filet mignon from Costco being the star. Fresh local tomatoes and cucumbers from a farmers market. Homemade ranch dressing, blue cheese crumbles, fried bacon, then crumbled it up. Block cheddar cheese, grated.

That steak has kosher salt, pepper, garlic powder. After searing, I continue flipping it and adding pats of Kerrygold butter as it cooks. It’s unreal. The crust on the steak that forms is crazy.

Great looking beef and salad. My kinda salad. :emoji_thumbsup:
I have been tending to do steaks in a CI pan for some time now. Screaming hot pan, sear one side, flip, and into preheated oven. The crust is better than anything I can achieve on the grill....

Yes that is the way to do it in my opinion. The Blackstone is very similar to a cast-iron pan. You just cannot get crust like that anywhere else. It’s similar to a Ruth’s Chris or Morton’s steakhouse style steak. I’m cooking it in butter after the first four minutes and just constantly adding pats of KerryGold butter. That adds to the flavor so much it’s unreal. You can also crush some garlic in the butter and brush it on the steak every couple of minutes.

nygiant, you nailed it! That is one fantastic looking piece of meat... Filet mignon is precious piece of meat (at least for me).. Starting about three years ago I cook all my stakes using SV method and love it. I am sure your Blackstone did a great job!
