Pulled the trigger. Should be here on the weekend.
I've never dried onions, but most everything I have dried, I run the temp at 165℉ and everything is usually done in 12 hours or less...Onions have been in for 19 hours at 135 but still not done....
Ha, did habaneros a few years ago, luckily put the dehydrator on the porch. Walking the kids to school the next day it was like pepper spray on the porch.Watery veggies take forever unless you can slice them paper thin. Careful doing hot peppers too unless you have a big space. They get quite 'fragrant' and can irritate some folks eyes/sinuses.
