Well, it's more of a traditional country breakfast but I made more of the Cajun inspired gravy that I used with the CFS last night to cover pretty much everything on my plate. It was so good I just had to make it again. I had nothing on the work schedule today so decided to make myself a really hearty breakfast, and God it was good!!
Got a couple homemade breakfast sausage patties out and into the electric skillet
Wanted some hash browns so fired up the tater grater
Hash browns on the stove in an 8" CI skillet with a bit of oil, salt, and pepper
Got the butter, flour, and Cajun seasoning started to make the roux for the gravy
Whip up a few eggs with a bit of milk and a bunch of cheddar cheese
Gravy all done
Breakfast plated. Time to add the gravy
Money shot...and nap time again
Boy this was good!! That Cajun gravy is going to be a staple around here. I just love the stuff and Tracy about went gaga over it last night. I wouldn't be surprised of she comes home this evening and says she doesn't care what we have for dinner as long as it includes the gravy. If y'all have not figured it out, I'm an absolute gravy junkie!! Doesn't much matter to me what it is, it's always better topped with an appropriate gravy.
