I hadn’t had biscuits and gravy for a very long time, it was something we had often as a boy, so I decided to make a batch for Saturday morning breakfast.

I baked a batch of biscuits using this recipe. they turned out well.

1 pound of homemade sausage pressed to about 1/2 inch thick.

Fry on one side over medium heat until browned.

Flip and fry the other side until brown.

Chop up the fried sausage.

Add to the skillet
6 tablespoons flour
1 qt of milk
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of poultry seasoning
1/2 teaspoon of onion salt

Stir until it thickens to your liking

Serve over biscuits. (I add a heavy dose of salt and black pepper after it’s on my plate, because the wife doesn’t like as much salt and pepper as I do, that way we can both have it how we like it!)

As always, thanks for looking!

God bless…

Looks great Mike. A yum anyway you serve it.
I actually prefer plain gravy or sausage gravy over bread or toasted bread. It was my favorite growing up.
Wasn't introduced to biscuits until I was in Kentucky for training. Another yum to the palate.
