3/8" OD tubeWhat size stuffer tube do you use for these? I have what are supposed to be 19mm collagen casings that for some reason are almost impossible to get on my stuffer tube. I've tried everything I can think of to get them on easier and they just are stubborn. They are LEM casings that I've bought before. For some reason these are way tighter than the other 19mm casings I've used. I ended up tearing (and then having blowouts) quite a few of them on the last set of sticks.

blowouts are normally from over stuffing. tears can be from old casings. when the casing dries from lack of the natural animal fat they can shrink a tad
Put them in a zip lock bag and in the fridge overnight before stuffing. Keep the bag open.Anything you can do to get moisture back into the casing? I know you can't soak them.
Got a few snowbirds in the resort asking for sausage. How much blaa blaa. I legally cant sell it to you but if you buy the meat and a few $ for my supplies i will make. If i screw any up i guess i gotta go get some meat and start over. What i do is just go buy the meat and keep how much items are costing me. I dont charge for my time as i have lots of free time and my boxes of extra sausage making supplies are getting lighter which will make my wife happy, fewer boxes mean extra space in the 5th wheel.
Awesome!!! Looks great,,,,, but what the hell did you do?? hit a cow on the way home and had it butchered?? You are cranking out the snausages,,,, but I aint a bitchin,,, I like it alot!!
