I see 3rd party drip pans/trays or whatever they are called :D and I also hear "use alum foil" but my question is: looking at some grills (Camp Chef for example) the drip trays don't seem to be solid. They seem (from photos) to not be smooth and have slots in them.
Can they be covered with (fill in whatever) or will that cause issues?
Getting ready to buy my first PG, I like the Camp Chef with sear box but from photos I see the drip tray doesn't seem "standard." Easy cleaning is my goal.
