Not cornbread , but if you like the corn flavor get some masa harina , and a box of pancake mix . I use 50 / 50 masa and box mix for pancakes and waffles .

That sounds like a good idea. Don't keep masa harina around the house but next time I see some I'll grab it and try this out.

What a horrible time in America...for sure

And that recipe doesn't have you add any salt if I read it right. I think recipes that call for zero salt comes from the "great salt freakout" period. Used to be eating butter was going to kill us, and we were told to eat trans fats instead...Eggs and avocados were killing us...now they are superfoods!

A little. It has a teaspoon of salt. I was lucky, my mom never fell for that. Always had salt and butter and meat and eggs on the menu. It has stuck with me, Hahaha!

I really enjoy cornbread and I’m not picky about store bought or homemade!

Here is my go to recipe for cornbread being a Northerner. The grandkids and I like it with beans and ham soup.
1 cup corn flour
1 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/3 cup coconut oil

We don't make our own. Usually we buy it pre-made at the bakery when we want it, but isn't creamed corn supposed to be one of the ingredient in cornbread.
