Cleaning the glass

I have a Charbroil smoker and was wondering if anyone has tried cleaning the glass with a magic eraser and how it worked out? Or what are some better ideas if anyone has any?

Rubbing alcohol & paper towels.
If the buildup is real thick then use a razor blade or paint scraper first, then the alcohol.

I used a razor blade last night and got it pretty clean I'll try the rest with alcohol tonight. Thanks for the help
